Very little love is lost in living.
A star can fill a universe with light,
Lasting not one second less for giving
Each of us the gift of its delight.
Nor do we love ourselves the less for loving,
Taking others' pleasures for our own.
In love there is an ecstasy unmoving,
Neither more engaged nor less alone,
Eternal in its house of flesh and bone.

Be Mine...
To ask you to be my Valentine
I'd have to talk to you,
Something that in all this time
I've managed not to do.
I'd have to get past "Hi!" somehow
To show you that I care,
But the right time is never now,
Especially when you're there.
It's as if a wall of fear,
Transparent yet profound,
Came hurtling up as you come near,
Cutting off all sound.
I fear I won't know what to say
And strike you as a fool,
Or you'll be glad to get away,
Polite not to be cruel.
Easier to dream than act,
To hope than to find out,
So fearful of the force of fact
I wait in fear-filled doubt.
But now the day of love has come,
And I must cross its line,
And so I ask you through this poem
To be my Valentine.
I'd have to talk to you,
Something that in all this time
I've managed not to do.
I'd have to get past "Hi!" somehow
To show you that I care,
But the right time is never now,
Especially when you're there.
It's as if a wall of fear,
Transparent yet profound,
Came hurtling up as you come near,
Cutting off all sound.
I fear I won't know what to say
And strike you as a fool,
Or you'll be glad to get away,
Polite not to be cruel.
Easier to dream than act,
To hope than to find out,
So fearful of the force of fact
I wait in fear-filled doubt.
But now the day of love has come,
And I must cross its line,
And so I ask you through this poem
To be my Valentine.
Valentine
Valentine's for lovers and for friends.
All my love goes out to you this day!
Love is something different from desire:
Even, silent, peaceful as the sky.
Nor is love interested in means or ends.
There are no selfish needs that it must weigh.
Instead, love's plenitude itself inspires,
Needing neither cause nor reason why.
Each day my thoughts enchanted with you lie.
Valentine's Day
I wish you were my Valentine
Though I may not be yours,
And I may, in my ignorance,
Be speaking to closed doors.
I have no inkling of your heart,
No hint what you might say;
But when I think of you the sun
Will just not go away.
There is in you a loveliness
That makes my darkness shine,
And so I'll wait, if wait I must,
To be your Valentine.
Though I may not be yours,
And I may, in my ignorance,
Be speaking to closed doors.
I have no inkling of your heart,
No hint what you might say;
But when I think of you the sun
Will just not go away.
There is in you a loveliness
That makes my darkness shine,
And so I'll wait, if wait I must,
To be your Valentine.

Matthew Arnold - Longing
Come to me in my dreams, and then
By day I shall be well again!
For then the night will more than pay
The hopeless longing of the day.
Come, as thou cam'st a thousand times,
A messenger from radiant climes,
And smile on thy new world, and be
As kind to others as to me!
Or, as thou never cam'st in sooth,
Come now, and let me dream it truth;
And part my hair, and kiss my brow,
And say: My love! why sufferest thou?
Come to me in my dreams, and then
By day I shall be well again!
For then the night will more than pay
The hopeless longing of the day.
By day I shall be well again!
For then the night will more than pay
The hopeless longing of the day.
Come, as thou cam'st a thousand times,
A messenger from radiant climes,
And smile on thy new world, and be
As kind to others as to me!
Or, as thou never cam'st in sooth,
Come now, and let me dream it truth;
And part my hair, and kiss my brow,
And say: My love! why sufferest thou?
Come to me in my dreams, and then
By day I shall be well again!
For then the night will more than pay
The hopeless longing of the day.

Mr. Personality
My sister was talking with her friend Deb yesterday and as a result of their conversation Deb posted a link on facebook to Keira's wall. I was intrigued when I saw it so I clicked on it it had this test you could take and I was very interested in the outcome... These are my results:

YOUR PERSONALITY
Take a look at how you scored on the Big Five personality dimensions below.
Your scores, compared with the responses of other people, suggest that you may be described as follows:
YOU ARE 50% EXTRAVERTED.
You are moderate in activity and enthusiasm. You enjoy the company of others but you also value your privacy.
YOU ARE 67% AGREEABLE.
You are generally warm, trusting, and agreeable, but you can sometimes be stubborn and competitive.
YOU ARE 33% CONSCIENTIOUS.
You are easygoing, not very well organised, and sometimes careless. You prefer not to make plans.
YOU ARE 50% EMOTIONALLY STABLE.
You are generally calm and able to deal with stress, but you sometimes experience feelings of guilt, anger and sadness.
YOU ARE 67% OPEN TO NEW EXPERIENCES.
You are practical but willing to consider new ways of doing things. You try to seek a balance between the old and the new.
PLEASURE-SEEKING: 85% Your high score on the “pleasure seeking” dimension suggests that you are a hedonistic movie watcher – this means you enjoy films that give you pleasure or make you feel good.
NOSTALGIA: 65% The “nostalgia” dimension refers to the extent to which you watch movies in order to re-experience the past. Your score on this dimension is average or similar to most people.
CATHARSIS: 75% Your high score on the “catharsis” dimension suggests that you watch movies in order to feel miserable and suffer with the characters of the movie – this is actually a psychological strategy that enables you to feel better (purging the soul from negative feelings).
AGGRESSION: 20% Your low score on the “aggressive” dimension suggests that you do not enjoy watching violent movies, such as action or war films. Such movies help some people release aggression and tension, but that does not seem to be your case at all, either because you are not aggressive, or you release your aggression otherwise.
ESCAPISM: 50% The “escapism” dimension refers to the extent to which you watch movies in order to escape or forget about reality. Your score on this dimension is average or similar to most people.
SENSATION-SEEKING: 15% Your low score on the “sensation seeking” dimension suggests that you do not watch movies in order to experience arousing feelings – thus you do not have a tendency to prefer exciting or adrenaline-fuelled movies.
ARTISTIC: 50% The “artistic” dimension refers to the extent to which you are interested in aesthetically driven, conceptual, and highly creative films. Your score on this dimension is average or similar to most people.
INFORMATION-SEEKING: 50% The “information seeking” dimension refers to the extent to which you are a curious and intellectual movie watcher. Your score on this dimension is average or similar to most people.
BOREDOM-AVOIDANCE: 70 %Your high score on the “boredom avoidance” dimension suggests that you watch films primarily as a means of avoiding boredom. Thus you are probably not that interested in what specific movie you choose, so long as it helps you “kill time” and combat boredom.
SOCIALISATION: 90% Your high score on the “socialising” dimension suggests that you are more interested in the company of others than the actual movie; and that you rarely see the point of watching movies alone. Watching movies is a social experience for you.

Life =)
I have been amazingly busy this last few months, so much so that my education kind of disappeared. In November I was busy with our play and the stress of being Elizabeth Bennet the stress didn't fade straight away and for a few days afterwards I found myself speaking with posh accident and quoting lines. After that I went on a homeschool camp which was nice to an extent there were many things that made the five days a bit troublesome but the details aren't important, it was a good trip and I came home with an awesome tan. Then cam James and Jennifer's engagment it was such a pretty setting and I felt like a gypsy running through the tents they had set up.
After that came a week of catching up with friends and sleep and then my sisters birthday party, the preparations were well worth it and the night was so enjoyable. The tree under which we were sitting in our backyard had been decorated with lanterns and fairy lights and the atmosphere around it was warm. Carols was the next night, it was supposed to be carols on the grass but it started to rain thankfully before we had set up properly and we moved it inside which gave it a different feel. Monday morning I prepared for a sleepover and was soon heading over to North Ryde to hang out with two of the most AMAZING girls in the world! ♥ We were dropped of at Macquarie and organized oursleves to see the social network which was really good... we then walked back to my friends place, picking up I Love You, Too from the video store on our way. we got back to her place and all collapsed on her bed and then spent much too long a time on facebook being silly and chatting with randoms. We watched the movie and then as is usual with sleepovers spent a long time talking bout all that mattered and stuff that didn't...
I got home today and realized how much I had missed my home and being able to relax without having to go somewhere. It gave me a chance to set up the christmas tree and think over things. I have been having weird mood swings and it's been confusing, my weeks only get busier but the new year promises a break, it also promises to be a better start to a year than this one...
